Xbox clock?

Post by aaronlye » Thu Nov 14, 2002 9:20 pm

Xbox owners:

I finally caved in and bought one a few days ago, but something's been nagging at me since - every new system I've bought requires me to set the system clock once when I first get it, and from there the internal battery takes over - I've had no trouble with my PS2 or my brother's GC as far as this is concerned, even when I disconnect the power supply.

However, I find myself forced to reset the Xbox internal clock every time I power up the system, and I can't find an internal battery anywhere.

Is there something wrong with my particular set, or is the Xbox somewhat lacking in the battery department? :)

Are you unplugging it every time? I've only had to reset the clock a few times but that's when I've unplugged it for extended periods of time.

x box lacks, but the ps2 does even have anything in the first place.

I don't unplug it but I do switch of the main power supply to the console when I'm not using it - the reason for this being that I'm using the American 110V Xbox in a country where the electrical feed is 230V, so for it to work, I'm using a step-down adaptor that does what's necessary to prevent my machines from exploding. :)

I do this all the time with my PS2 and the GC (both 110V NTSC models as well) but I don't have to reset the clock on those systems...

And since it's been brought up... does Halo live up to the hype? Right now, I'm only mooching off with DoA3 and Crazy Taxi 3, which aren't the latest things on the market.

Waiting for Panzer Dragoon. 8)
