DAMN IT ALL!!

Post by Chaos Angel » Sat Nov 09, 2002 9:44 pm

I needed to get a new black ink cartridge for my printer, and get my car an oil change, as well as do homework today. I just realized that I spent all day playing Final Fantasy Tactics, and BSing on the internet instead.

I'm going to hate myself tomorrow. Or Monday. Is this Saturday or Sunday?

Hey at least you didn't fill your car with black ink and give your printer an oil change :D .

Yeah I totally know how addictive Final Fantasy Tactics is... but such great memories. I'm currently addicted to Chrono Trigger though.

I know that feeling, knowing you wanted to do some stuff, and you ended up wasting the whole day. I hate it when I do this. Pisses me off how I can't seem to focus on the things I should do. :(

Ugh.. the game that never got finished, because the final boss keeps royally kicking my ass...

I should go back and try again. But, goddamn it, that guy is fucking hard... bout made me break my Playstation in a fit of homicidal rage.

Course, so is the solo Gafgarion fight on Tactics, so I'm pretty much just angry as hell this weekend.

Because what we need to do is never as fun as what we want to do.

If there were a way to make an income from BSing on the computer, watching anime, and playing video games, I'd be in heaven (along with most people on this forum, I imagine.)

Hard? Which way are you trying to beat it?

Gafgarion's freakin' easy, but only if you do it certain ways... otherwise he's a real joo. It just depends on which jobs you master. It's best to have Chemist, Monk, Lancer, and Knight at decent levels. Chemist mainly for auto-potion. Chakra from the Monk is really useful sometimes. And then, he's basically toast. The rest of the fight is a little harder, for your outside party. At least, that's how it was for me. And then the game's a cinch once you get T.G. Cid  !

*Sigh* After those two games, I find it hard to get interested in any new games. They all seem so lame in comparison :? . But I did play and really love Drakan: The Ancients' Gates.

Well, I've managed to beat the fight before, piece o cake. This my thrid time through Tactics. Well, 2.5, never finished the first one and chose to restart because I forgot all of the plot. But, for some reason, the solo Gafgarion fight was giving me a hard time this time around (Queklain, however, was an embarrassment to the nether realms). I kept getting my ass kicked. I can't remember what I was the first time, but the second time, Ramza was a Monk, and he kept himself Chakraed until the others could beat the outside people and hit Gaffy with spells. This time, Ramza was a Knight with two swords (formerly a Ninja, but I made him a Knight to increase his health for the solo fight.), and Gafgarion kept guarding my attacks while the people outside kept ganging up on my people. It didn't help that I have put almost no focus onto healing and protective magic this time around...

However, I finally managed to beat Gafgarion. The outside people made the mistake of clumping together, and my Summoner wasted them. Plus, I was able to Invite the enemy's Summoner into my party... ^_^. Gafgarion fell to the secret weapon I gave Ramza to help boost his previously pitiful chances: Black Magic. That, and I managed to hit him with a Ramuh summon, which didn't hurt any... ^_^

Personally, I don't like to use the plot people in battle. I like to use the people I got at the beginning and have worked on throughout the entire game. Although, if I can remember how to get Worker 8, I may switch out someone for him, because he is just God despite being slow.

As for Chrono Trigger, welp, I've been using Epoch to jump straight to Lavos, but I have wondered if going through the Black Omen is any easier... The couple times I tried it through Epoch, I kept dying on the three-part Demon thingy. Not enough HP...

Maybe I'll try it through the Black Omen... I can't seem to remember the third way right off-hand...

Oh, yeah. The Bucket at the End of Time. Maybe I'll try that too...
