First they demand a statue of him in every county and now this? Why do these people insist on honoring this guy, all in all, he really didn't seem to accomplish all that much.

I say FDR's image should stay where it is, if for no other reason than to show me the face of the man I hate so much everytime medicade, and social security deducts from my paycheck.

Simple answer: Right place, right time, right policies on economic matters. And he encouraged greed. But now he's got that "old guy forgetful disease" and his wife is dead. So I guess they feel sorry for him.

Well, I suppose if you were already wealthy, the trickle-down effect was the best method of wealth redistibution.

I thought the part about him "ushering in culture as we know it today" part was cute. And hey, if that doesn't deserve a dime, what does?

I think Nancy Reagan is still alive. I know her step daughter died in like 2001 but Nancy herself is still alive and kicking.

I remember a few years ago they wanted to put Reagan on Rushmore.

Yeah, Nancy is still alive and she's actually against the idea. Article

I think the dime should stay. Roosevelt deserves it.

Reagan did rise to the highest office in the country and as a former President deserves repsect. His mark on history is still being determined as more documents are declassified and historians perform research. I've been to the Reagan library and it's a very impressive tribute to him. He's got that, Reagan Airport, and now an aircraft carrier. And he was also a California governor who did not get recalled! :)
