Post your Distinguished Name here!

Post by danielwang » Tue Dec 02, 2003 10:43 pm

The ISO is taking "What's your A/S/L" to a whole new level.

What's your Distinguished Name?

Code: Select all

CN="areyo@mechacker.com"
mail="areyo@animetheory.com"
SN="Wang"
givenName="Daniel"
O="AnimeTheory"
OU="wheel"
L="jp"
C="cn"
ST="Chiyoda-ku"
streetAddress="5-37,Ikejima 1-chome; Bristol BS372AE; Canada"
UID="0"
passwd="md5:q!C/55aU^c/5"
Also... I'm beginning to think using Active Directory as a big volume,
multiple-dimension (accessible in any order) database doesn't sound like too
good of an idea. It's not Microsoft SQL, so:

If write caching is disabled (for security!!!), then if 10 players decide to
fight a Poring npc at the same time, that's 50 Hit Point updates per 5
seconds, or 10 queries a second. Add in commits and "Distributed
Transactions Coordinator needs to close, please tell MS about this problem".

Ah well, NetInfo could be much, much, much worse.
I wouldn't call them GMs (Game Masters) anymore, we'd call them "sudoers!"

. . . I'm just going to stop reading your posts, because as far as I can recall, you haven't posted one intellegible thing since I took notice of you. No offense, I'm just saying that I, and likely a fair amount of people here don't ever know what the hell you're talking about.
