Anyone else looking forward to the King of Fighters 2000/2001 two pack for PS2 that's soon to be released? I know I'm probably in the rarity but I still enjoy 2D fighters the most. I haven't played a 3D fighter since Toshinden that I enjoyed as much as I do Capcom and SNK's classic titles. And it's been awhile since I've gotten a chance to play a "new" game from either of them.
I'm sure some of you might be thinking "What about Capcom's versus series?". Yeah those are great but they have even less of a real plot to them then the individual games all their characters are taken from do. After Marvel vs. Capcom 1 they stopped even giving you decent endings to work for. Anyhow... discuss!

I got into KOF after playing KOF '99 on the PS1, sucks that it's edited though, I still can't believe they took out Whip's gun. I've been thinking about getting a PS2 because of the two pack release and because of CvS2. Hell, I might buy a used Neo Geo AES because of KOF. 2D fighters are what I still enjoy and I only play 3D fighters once in a rare while, they're still fun though.
I think it's great that the Playmore/SNK games are getting better exposure in the states now a days. Hopefully, the two pack will get people more interested. KOF is definitely a series people should check out.
