Your odd sleeping habits
Considering that many people online have a wide range of sleeping habits (lack of sleep being one of the worst yet common), I thought it'd be fun to check out a few personal habits. Maybe even where you find it's the most comfortable to sleep. o_0
Just to point out, we're supposed to get around 10 to 7 hours of sleep (or so they say), depending on our age. For some of us, we can't function unless we get that, for others, we haven't seen that much sleep since we were infants. lol
Myself, I usually get about 6 hours. With more homework, it's about 5 to 4 hours. I'm amazed how friends at school talk about 8 hours and so on. Last time I got 8 hours on a regular basis was probably about 3 years ago back in grade 9. -_-
Today's the exception though, because I fell asleep while doing homework (11:00pm) and woke up abruptly a little later (1:30am), so that means I'm doing homework right now (4:05am). It's a little different than usual.
Oh, and where it's the most comfortable to sleep? The floor! if I'm exhausted, I could just lie down, and sleep away. You know, use my forearm as a pillow. A blanket is useful when it's cold, but otherwise I'm fine. My mother's walked in on my sleeping on the floor once or twice. She simply walked away, but was sure to ask later when I woke up what in the world I was doing. lol ^_^

I find it's easiest to sleep in small places, or at least with so many blankets and pillows that it feels small. And, I usually got about 5-6 hours sleep average during school.

Depending on my agenda for the day..which is nothing lately, I need to get a job, I can stay awake all day then catch 12 hours of sleep and repeat. In most cases I try to control my sleeping hours and usually go to bed around 11pm, thus so I don't sleep in till 1pm every day.
I can sleep just about anywhere. Often I used to sleep on the floor..but after getting a dog, i find myself disliking the idea of sleeping on a floor covered in dog hair. I would sleep on the floor in my bedroom..but being that there is no floor visable and there being a bed..it kinda defeats the purpose. Usually I'll hit the couch or the recliner in the living where it's still warm during the night. My room doesn't heat too well when it it's below freezing during the winter o.o
I don't require a pillow..nor do I need to substitute a pillow. One thing I do tend to do is push my feet off the edge, something about my feet up on the bed bugs me..so I let them hang free over the edge of the bed/couch/chair/picnic shelter/cot/bunk/large flat object.
Another thing is how I like to stuff my head into the corners. Often if I sleep on the couch, I'll just fix my head into the corner where the arm and the back of the couch meet. Same thing when I sleep in my bed, since I have one of those large heavy pillows with the 2 arm rests (ment for sitting up, but I use it rest my head one) I'll stuff my head into one of the inner corners of that.
O.o...unfortunately right now I'm up and awake at 4:30 am..so I guess I'm in for a long sleep today :\

I can't sleep anywhere other than my own bed without great discomfort. I also find it hard to get back to sleep after waking up, even if it's really early.
Moreover, I pretty much never dream, ever.

So... if it weren't for sleep deprivation, you wouldn't have to go to school?)v(ajin Koji wrote:now i'm off school because of sleep deprivaition...

Were it my choice, I'd go to sleep about 3am and sleep for 10 or 11 hours.
But it isn't, so I go to sleep around 12 and get maybe just about 7.
Not to mention I'm usually tired as hell because of this.
Actually, what sucks is that I'm the only nightowl in the family. Stay up past 10pm and everyone starts yelling at you. Stay asleep past 10am, same thing.
