Japanese PS2
Alright, I'd like some input.
Should I get a Japanese PS2? The one I had in mind if i do is this one
I'd be getting it entirely for the Japanese games I had my eyes set on (Macross, Initial D, Evangelion 2 *massive drool*)
So, is it worth $269 for the system, and $59 per game? The system would come with GT4: Prolouge edition, so at least i'd have something to play until I can save up for another game (see first on list: Evangelion 2)
Also is lik-sang a reputable site?

Mod chip. It works and saves money. That's what I've got.

Well, My family already has a US Ps2, so if I need to play any US games i'd just borrow the family one.
And i talked it over with my mom for her advice, and she said to get the Japanese one, since there would still be a warranty on it. Plus it's limited edition "ceramic white" Winter racing Edition.
Also, there's no guaratees with a modded PS2, plus where to find one to begin with (my soldering skills are <0, meaning I can't install a chip myself)
(Evangelion 2 was a BIG factor in deciding to get a Japanese PS2
)
And if I want to play US games when I go to college in about a year, aren't the prices of US Ps2s dropping almost everday? (or so it seems, especially when a new system is introduced)

I've had to get two modded PS1's because they kept updating the anti-mods; the old one wouldn't let me play DDR. If I had a choice between a modded PS2 and an actual Japanese PS2, I'd be tempted to get the Japanese PS2 for Japanese PS2 games, PS1 games, and DVDs.
