Ok... advice time. Say there's some girl whom you've admired for a while but she pretty much has no idea who you are. Say for some reason you got a suddenly large urge to IM this girl. Is there any possible way you could do so without making it seem really creepy? :\
I'm doubting it.

No. It dosnt usually work. Man I have been down this road so many times there is a side street called "Veldrin Ave." Or perhaps named after my real name. What ever.

It's a pretty simple story. I haven't talked to her to any remotely extensive level, although a friend gave me her sn about a year ago and so I occasionally glance at her away msgs and subsequently linked LJ out of curiosity. IMO she's very cute and she seems all.. lonely like. That and I'm pissed off at Sam and I'd like to finally say something to this girl.

It mostly happened when her away msg tonight was all like " .. i said: wasn't that boy handsome....a little bit of me wanted to be beautiful..." and I just wanted to be like omg wtf I think you're beautiful :\

came pretty close to doing it, too, but, nope :|
So I'm trying to come up with ways to finally do it right. Nothing actual to lose, anyway.

Btw, you can't really go up to someone you never talk to and just be like "hi :|".
Online you can at least be like "hey, I've had your sn for awhile but never talked to you because I don't really know you at all :\"

Just do it.

But... don't do something because you're mad at Sam. I think you know that. If you're looking for back-up, go ahead but be careful. If you're looking for someone to replace Sam, go ahead but think twice (or three or four times). If you're looking for a friend, just do it.

And as for approach, do whatever you're most comfortable with and whatever you think she'd react best to. Some girls, I know, wouldn't mind being approached right out of the blue but others would be uncomfortable.
