Self creation is always the best way to go. Might be harder, but fuck, nothing feels better than wearing a kick ass anime outfit and knowing you made it yourself.

That said, I may have to get started on my Kamui outfit for next years SupaNova....

wellllll self creation is good, but make sure you keep it simple because sewing is a BITCH to do. I'm currently working on making a medival outfit plan for next june-july when the medieval fayre come up to brisbane.

As for halloween, I'm going as myself, I'm scary enough, and my soul can tear other spirits apart like paper. ^_^

If u make ur own, i give u props, it is a tough and long job to do. I give all the self made costume makers props.
