Saturday was awesome as we played ffx-2 soul calibur 2 had a chit chat with christopher sabat (voice of vegeta and piccolo and many others), Bruce Hopkins (Gamling in LOTR) and of course all those OTAKU out there that totally owned, that is including the FORMIDDABLE noface from Spirited Away. Sunday rocked too, SSW5_Majin_Bebi MURDERED his voice saturday screaming and yelling the cheers of the cosplay contest so he murdered the karaoke the first time and hit back in the duet with the annoying 14 year old brat who kept beating him and 500 other people up.
The Kamehameha contest was the highlight for me. I made it into the three quarter finals with one hell of a sore voice. Judged by, yes, the very man himself, Christopher Sabat. Not only that there were money borrowers and money lenders and people murdering their account balances on stuff like anime magazines and a shitload of dvds and comics and playing a MASSIVE cardgame competition that I don't think was ever finished.
It was shit enough that that fucking purple thing in yugioh won kamehameha contest, karaoke and the freaking cosplay contest. that was like FIFTEEN free dvds including dvd 3 of dbgt that HASN'T been released in australia yet. Not a big fan of db but still.
And for all you sword fans, you will be disappointed to know that the fuckwads of the security guards confiscated all the swords and they weren't allowed in the complex. even WOODEN sword because they had a "pointy" end. Next time I'll shoot the cunts that way nobody will need to worry about people who want to ruin the AUTHENTICNESS of anime characters.
Lots of friends were made and lots of names of those friends were forgotten. Oh well, maybe NEXT year we'll remember them. Even quickdraw challenge was cool. They randomly pick people to have one minute to draw what comes to the host's mind. We had hello kitty and also two shameful people who didn't know Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Yes the pain has taken it's toll but it totally rocked. Now next year hopefully it will be BIGGER and BETTER with ddr and amv contests. And we can't forget the LARP!!!!! HAIL TO MEH CHEWIE!!!!!
Now I can't wait until the Medieval Fayre, WE NEED MORE CONVENTIONS!!!!! no not any of that shit better lifestyle bullshit that seems so common but still... I guess I'll shut up now.
