[RP] Phade is on Vacation!

One day, on the AMVdotOrg, Phade disappears from the Org. Citing personal reasons, he has been gone for months. Summer leave or family emergency, nobody knows. Could be back tomorrow, or next year.

The town of The Dot Org is now in disarray. The business of the Org carries on in usual, videos are traded and created, the Forum is bustling with activity... but down in the mean streets of a-m-v.org, the Moderators have been locked out of their accounts due to a massive Denial of Service password lockout attack, and spammers have free reign. Videos are advertised shamelessly and crappy opinions are left, if at all.

But in one corner, a revolution is forming.

The general extremes of the crowd are:

FACTION 1: Pissed Off N00bs
Not all n00bs are bad, but these are definitely pissed off. Is it jealousy? Is it hate/ These noobs are doing everything they can to try to bump Euphoria, Shining Collection and other fine videos off the Top 10 List and elect their own.

FACTION 2: AMV Society
These are generally neutral people who assist the n00bs, direct great AMVs and, although impressed by the Top 10 videos, are possibly doubtful at the integrity of the numbers. Generall honest, these people vote once on the list and don't bother to spam.

FACTION 3: Top 10: elite... -ists!
Koopiskeva and the Top 10 faction are holding an all our Public Relations war to win the Top 10 Election, and to hold off the n00bs.

In this town, Videos are the new currency. Traded without fee, your goal is to have your video on the Top 10 Charts, win Viewer's Choice Awards and be elected to Fancy Sounding Position, a honor so lucrative users have even resorted to mailing physical DVDs out for "quality". Any and all are welcome, Studios are spacious and your arsenal of AMV tools is as big as your computer can hold.

The People of the Dot Org, for now...

Wang Daniel (Faction 2), a fledgeling AMV creator premiering videos usually only once every 18 months. Looks like he'll be stuck in the indie space for a long time, it'll be a miracle if he starts or gets into a Studio. Somewhat annoying on the Off Topic forums when he starts talking technobabble or far-fetched ideas (like old times), however, usually more formal in the Technical city.

Koopiskeva (Faction 3), the Bill Gates of AMVs. Has a stronghold political influence, a large follower base and aability to do large PR blitz campaigns on the AMV Announcements board. Thread replies have been in the hundreds, opinion counts are high and of course did Euphoria, in the Top 10.

Pick a n00b, any n00b (Faction 1). Uses Windows Movie Maker, which he actually had to warez becuase he's still on Win95. Distributes videos in RealMedia and DivX, crappy formats and in the latter case, huge. The equivalent of Indie movies, videos are often shown at junior high unofficial "Anime Club" meeting in his basement where he gets schoolmates to join and "grassroot" ratings on the Org.
