Photoshop help...

Post by shadow-the-hedgehog » Tue Jun 24, 2003 12:03 am

I have a Gif that I wanna blow up, but when I do it gets blured. I want it to retain its pixelated look. How can I do this? I have PS 7.

lots of different, tedious ways. When you blow it up you will have a choice to use many different filters. Try some of those out, and if they arent what you are looking for..... then youve got to to it manually....

No... this has nothing to do wif filters. I just want to resize a smaller gif in a larger file. I just want the "pixels" to look bigger in the new file...

Resizing something will almost always make it blurry. However, I do know of a photoshop trick for enlarging pixelated images and maintaining the pixellation.

Take the image and select Transform. Shift-scale it to the size you want. The image preview will be low-qual and pixelly. Now, do NOT finalize the crop. Leave it as it is. Hit print screen and paste that screen capture. You'll have to cut out the background and crop lines, but it will be pixellated still, and I find it easier than cleaning up an enlarged image.

All you have to do... is go to the image resize thing... and in the box in the bottom where it says Bicubic, change that to Nearest Neighbor.
