Anyone have their wisdom teeth out?

Post by Leanan » Sun May 04, 2003 4:46 pm

I'm getting all 4 of mine cut out this Friday. I'm a bit scared (ok I'm a lot scared). He told me I'm getting 8 needles >_< and my face will be really swollen for a few days.

Has anyone had them out? Do you have any advice? Anything to ease my fears? Oh and they're not knocking me out. I'm just getting nitrous (sp?).

I'm really not looking forward to this :?

This probably dosn't seem like a good idea, but get really drunk right before you go.

no, they use some really powerful drugs for wisdom tooth surgery ... alcohol can have abad reaction to those, plus thats a pretty early appointment to get drunk for.

As for the pain ..well, my frined got hers removed about 2 days before christmas (don't ask me why the scheduled it then ...) but she was misserable for almost a week afterwards.

Yeah I'll be awake I guess. I'm just afraid I'm going to throw up on them or something if I taste blood. Bleh.

When I had mine taken out, the people used knockout gas! It was probably the best feeling I've ever felt in my life. I didn't feel a thing they did to me. I felt like I was skydiving, falling endlessly. I was called "chipmunk cheeks" when I went to school later...

Take it from me: request the gas! :D
