Buying a unsharpened Katana...need help!

I am working on a Soujirou (from Rurouni Kenshin) costume for ACen and was wondering if anyone knew some good sites where I could purchase a relatively cheap (<$100) unsharpened katana. The unsharpened part should help the price as well as the fact I don't need high quality steel (like spanish or damascus). It's just going to be an accessory for my costume and thus quality (of blade) isn't necessary.

Specifically, I am looking for a fairly typical katana. I don't need any fancy dragon/snake heads on the handle and I'd like the Saya to be a boring Black or Brown with no patterns as well.

Somewhat related, but does anyone know if it is possible to purchase that "cord" that wraps around the handle? I would like a white one (since Soujirou's is) and almost all seem to be black.\

Chesapeake Knife and Tool has some blades might be kindof expensive though.

Yeah I was thinking about that one since it's A) unsharpened and B) fairly plain. If I can find some place to buy a white cord, I'm set.

As for weapons, well..this is mainly for an accessory to a costume although I guess if I were in a fight I'd prefer a blade-like weapon or spear (distance).

Here you can find some katanas. They are a bit more expensive than you want ($200-$500), but they look beautiful, very realistic. Made of some nickel-summatasummthin alloy so they're not made for cutting. But you can use them for Iaido.

Ive looked at about 10 different sites, and they dont sell the chords seperatly on any of them

Yeah

No big deal, I'm just being picky on how accurate I wanna be. I even have my commissioner making the shinguards, armguards and sandals for my costume (for when Soujirou goes to battle). I don't think anyone other than me will mind

I guess just about any unsharpened katana (with no fancy heads and junk) will do....oh well...
