Ooo, giant spider...

I'd like to thank whoever took that photo in the first place (or photoshoped it, or whatever) becuse I'm never going to sleep again.

Freaking spiders... I swear they're the only thing in the world that really scares me. Maybe if I had some kind of lizard that could just roam around my house eating the little bastards. Hmm, that's a thought, maybe get a whole squad of the little guys. That'd be pretty cool actualy.

If spiders always had comedic value then I don't think I'd dislike them so fully.

I hate those fucking sprite based comics. The jokes suck and there is no originality in the "artwork".

If you want to say that, them come over to Saudi Arabia where I am deplyed right now and take a look at the good ol Camel Spider

We killed one the other night and it's legs from tip to tip were the diameter of the tires on our Humvee

And BTW, it took all four of us to kill it

SO clearly spiders CAN indeed get that large. The one in the pics on this thread though is like ALL legs.

The camel spider isn't a true spider.
This weird looking arachnid is not in fact a scorpion or spider at all but belongs to its own order- solifugid. This species can attain a leg span of 5” and a body of 2”. Wind spiders are fast moving aggressive hunters, capable of over powering much larger prey than itself. Its front pair of legs are modified as feelers to detect and pull its prey into its large over sized jaws. Its three pairs of legs are capable of speed making this creature a fast moving killing machine.
