People piss me off more than anything else in the world. I deal with nothing but scum day in and day out, who do nothing but try and cheat me and the company I work for out of our money just because they can. When I try and sell something at a reasonable price, like my car or my motorcycle, the "interested party" trys to pull every excuse out of their ass that my vehicles are pieces of shit, when I have meticulously maintained them.
My manager and the new manager in training I'm dealing with are incompitent fuckers. This girl, who is at least 2 years younger than I am, with far less experience in the pizza business, doesn't even have a food handler's card yet, or even know how to make a quality pizza, but she's telling ME that I'm wrong 24/7. I've been a manager in training before, and even on my worst day, I could've easily outclassed her on pizza quality, driver routing, and customer assistance. No one in the store I work at knows how to make a quality pizza. They just drop the ingredients on the pizza, forgetting symmetry, or any of the specifications/techniques that help enhance the flavor and texture of the crust, the melting point of the cheese, etc. And when I follow these techniques, and crank out a pizza that truly is up to par with company standards, they bitch about the extra two to four minutes it took to make that pizza.
People constantly assume that because I'm so nice and timid, respectfully offering my opinions without any pressure, I don't have a damn clue what I'm talking about. When in fact, I actually know MORE than my boss and his half-wit bitchy new manager in training. My parents constantly assume I'm some kind of hyper-aggressive delinquent, when they are far more willing than I am to resort to violence.
Even people I see as I drive down the street piss me off. They stare at me, like I'm some kind of freak or child rapist. There's nothing physically wrong with me, and I don't do anything that they wouldn't consider out of the ordinary. I wear a plain t-shirt and blue jeans, with no piercings or bizarre markings/scars of any kind. But still, they just stare and grimace, or laugh their asses off.
People ask about my political opinions, and say they'll keep an open mind. When I say I believe that everyone should be measured on the same scale, and if they don't make it, it's their own damn fault, those same people banish me or run in fear. They immediately try to get someone bigger to keep me in-line with the new concept of "freedom", which is focused on nothing but security based on banning gun rights, illegal search and seizure, and let us not forget the plastic sheeting and duct tape.
America, up to the Civil War, was a relatively weak nation, but the rights and freedoms of it's citizens were guaranteed, so long as the citizenry had the guts to take on the duties of maintaining her. The minute Lincoln and Congress decided the rights for the Confederates were expendible, because the Union needed the Mississippi as a major trade route, and their precious taxes (the same damn reason America was formed in the first place), the State's survival became more important than the rights of the citizenry.
The people I see today are just a far more degraded version of the same corruption that started over 140 years ago. The problems I deal with are the result of Americans not practicing what they preach. That is what pisses me off.
