I was merely quibbling with the line that said that all threee movies have been completed that someone wrote. Completed implies that the editing is done, and that they are sitting on the masters before their release for purely marketing reasons.

I wouldn't put it past them at all. The budget for that movie was huge! They need to squeeze every penny they can.....and this is a brilliant way to do it.

It's funny hearing everyone talk about The Two Towers at school. They all keep asking me if I've seen it yet. I'm like: "It came out yesterday!", though that doesn't seem to really matter to them.

I'm so fucking excited! I bought my ticket (well my sisters and her husband) earlier today. Since I bought the special extended DVD edition, I get in for free! :-D

Anywho, I'm off to watch it at 11! it's gonna be great!! At least I hope! One thing i've been hearing a lot about is how Gimli is the "comical" relief.....Gimli in the book doesn't bring much of a comical relief....that or I just don't remember! I hope this is a great movie!

that movie licked balls. God, I was so disapointed. Read the book instead. Added too much, kept very little. :( :x

I guess you're right. I mean, the movie itself is a great fantasy/war epic and Peter does deserve some credit for pulling it off. At least he didn't stray from the core plot of the books. The movie is fucking great if you haven't read the book, but if ya read it...you're bound to be disapointed one way or another.

They left out a huge chunk of the book, I'm wondering how they're gonna pull it off with The return of the king. Returnof the king is one BIIIIIIIIIG motherfucker...*sigh*

I think Lord of the Rings is just one of those massively over-rated things. Like the Star Wars series, when you watch them again you realise they're good, but they're not that good. I found that with Lord Of The Rings anyhoo.....
