As for those comments, you're putting words in my mouth. I never said my mother was a crack shot. I merely said she did what these women's lib activists have been trying to accomplish for decades, and she did it because she knew she had the skill, not because she was trying to get attention (like so many of these women who join the military today).

If you are what the military is made up of today, then give me back my tax dollars. My freedom, like the Founding Fathers intended, is supposed to be in my hands, not in those of politicians and overbearing scum on a power trip.

Alot of you have little idea what goes on in wars........ i've been force fed this stupid shit about linch from my Drill Sergeants......... they use her as an example of what not to do in a war......... she's a joke and a discredit to the military service.........i could care less what happens to her, had she done what she had been taught from the beginning she wouldn't have been in the situation she was in.......... maybe she would be dead, but atleast she wouldn't be the circus freak she is now and could've been a real hero........maybe.......

Anyways, the Lynch story may have no value to us, but i should imagine it helped the morale of the troops still stationed in Iraq.

I know that while I was pver there, everone in my unit, 77th Fighter Squadron/AMU, had no repect for her, I'm glad she lived, but they are making too big a deal about it, but then every war need something big to happen.

As for Toecutter, think about what you are going to say before you wite it, if we said the term "raghead" it was an immediate repremand. She was not raped, they treated her decently, though the soldiers who catured her did some damage to her. I don't think she joined the army for publicity, she probably joined for the same reason eighty percent of us join.

I find that almost every soldier I meet is of the same oppinion. I commend you for your beliefs and for saying them as well.
I hope you are feeling well and aren't poisoned or anything, I hear Gulf War Syndrome may be back. I will also thank you for the risk you had to go through.
I dislike our gov't's propoganda but I have great respect for those that get sent to hell and still do their job.

They DO live in cities(hence civilized my ignorant friend) and Europe is where "western civilization" comes from. the U.N. is about the world and you, like many others, don't realize that this planet is a closed system, everything that happens affects everyone. The U.S. has forgotten that it is part of the world and that to treat other countries like vassals that need to be kept in line is a grave mistake.

That it indeed is my inquisitive poster. According to the U.N. charter any occupational army must declare how long it intends to stay. The U.S. has given no timetable and refuses to admit that it is occupying Iraq to the U.N. therefore we are still at war.

If we didn't agree with the U.N. charter we shouldn't have signed it in the first place.

I commend you on your appreciation of what we did over there and I agree that some people need to learn the facts before stating them. I have been in the military for almost five years and I have seen things that would shock you.
No worries over me being poisoned or anything, I am mostly bitter due to a few things that happend over there, flightline maintenance supervision can get bad and we had to deal with a VERY hectic flying schedule, you try working fourteen hour shifts, eating MREs, six hours of sleep, and knowing that an attack could happen at any moment.

And Toecutter, if you want to scream about getting your tax dollars back, rmember this, we all have to pay federal taxes too, so we pretty much pay our own paychecks, si on that.
