In protest, we should all organixe a temporary sales dislocation, or passive boycott.

Someone at the EFF or such needs to pick one day where people aren't in a rush to buy the latest albuy, then ask people to postpone sales to the next day.

I'm already sponsoring a National Piracy Day at my school on October 28, the day the DMCA was passed (DVD swapping in the student union building WOOHOO!).
How about we make September 30th, or maybe october, or something the National Don't Buy Music Day. Don't buy music, movies, software or anything that people are suing over. Could work.

well, it's till too soon to know if people will stop downloading mp3s, but at my college, people turned a little green at the news.

maybe it'll force people to buy again, maybe not, it's still too soon
