To renege on that now makes everyone in the country look bad, like we can't be trusted to keep our word. Like it or not, we are a part of the UN, and if we don't like it's laws, tough shit. I don't like some of the laws of my state and my country, but I have to obey them regardless.
yes, but the UN isnt a governing body, unlike your state and county

I don't believe in labeling myself or my views. I'm not liberal or conservative, I look at issues and base my opinion on what I think is right..and I don't think I have ever seen a problem that was completely black and white; good or evil. That was one of my major problems with Bush at the beginning of this terrorist issue. He actually accused entire nations of being evil...the very same claims the leaders of those nations do (and did). I will not have any respect for someone like that...and I don't care at all if other people think I am unpatriotic.

I have volunteered at shelters, help out the Salvation army during the holidays and pay my frickin taxes. I think that pretty much says what I feel about the people of my country even if I don't believe in the politicians....whoever they may be :?

I don't feel I need to base my opinions on any one group or person...I think about them and make my own thoughts, not wait for someone else to make one for me and heartily agree. And in the Ohio polls, I am registered as republican because I can help vote down the jerks (usually the popular ones) in the primaries.

If anyone judged me on my registered party they'd really be off the mark in their stereotype 8) In the regular polls, I always vote for who I think is the better candidate...even if that is the lesser of two evils.
