ok... just for giggles... i did a
dir /b /s r:\video >list.txt

then tried to post the list into one of the text boxes.... the text boxes can'ty hold even a raction of the lsiting... its scarry

the R drive is the main storage drive i use... and there is about 430 gig of amvs in that directory alone...

umm, dont kill me but....what is "FLCL" I assume its an anime of some description but I dont think I've ever heard of it.....

Split it up, and watch Phade scream as the tables for phpBB inflate substantially in a matter of minutes.

FLCL (aka Furi Kuri and Fooly Cooly) is a six-episode OAV made by Gainax, who is also responsible for Evangelion, Wings of Honnaemise, Mahoromatic, and Kare Kano. It's very abstract and bizarre, energetic and colorful. Emphasis is less on the story and more on the visuals and music and the mood they create, although the story is still key, natch.

Personally, I think it's brilliant. It feels like they took a storyline for 13 or maybe even 26 episodes, and condensed it into 6 episodes of insanity. It feels like style over substance at first (style is very much a key element of this OAV, as well), but there's simply so much going on in the story and it moves so quickly that you will probably miss a few things the first time through. Lost? Watch it again!!

If it isn't available in Austrailia, episode's 1-4 are available in America on what is, IMHO, an excellent release. Nice encoding job, and including other extras, a big frikken pamphlet of information on behind the scenes stuff and character info and descriptions of some of the Japanese pop references that other cultures may miss out on. I personally recommend it very much if for no other reason that the sheer genius of the way it's put together. It's a lot of fun, and also very involving.

Anyone else want to tack something on to this?
