And they never would have found anything. You see Saddam didnt have to let them inspect a military base without the un calling ahead. They were forbidden to inspect his "Palaces" which are not a building but massive complexes. With those kinds of restrictions what did you expect them to find?
Actually they did investigate Palaces and they also did it without first telling Iraqis they were coming. These reports do not mention that fact but Finnish news agengy reported otherwise and I have no reason to believe they were lying about the it:

I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: 'O Lord, make my enemies ridiculous.' And God granted it.
Never explain--your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe you anyway.
Money can't buy friends, but it can get you a better class of enemy.

Dark Dragon, that's enough, stop being so petty and childish
You don't have to include insults of someone's intelligence in every post you make.

And El Banana, I don't think there is any disagreement on this board when it comes to whether Saddam is good or evil (more appropriatly, bad/injust) it is a discussion on the validity of Bush's actions in Iraq, and the driving forces behind such actions and decisions that have been made by the current administration.El Banana wrote:Simpi please, get your quotes right already.... it's damn painful to watch.

dammit. i don't come on this site for a weekend or something and already my favorite forum changes so much. i can't even remember the last damn place i posted. oh well. i see not much has changed though. still the same conflicting views from most of the same people. i'm glad to see however that there are more people arguing their points than just me, mr oni, and about three others from before. anyways on to it.
barbarians. now that is funny. all humans are barbarians and that is the only way i truly agree with you about destroying them.
anyone else think it's interesting about the guy who chucked like three grenades in his own tents? does anyone know why? i haven't heard anything about it other than that. what i think is funny is if this keeps up the 'enemy' could just sit back and watch all our own people blowing each other up.
i'm fairly certain most men in power are generally stubborn. as for suicide bombers. what's to dislike so much. the only difference between them and normal soldiers who chuck grenades is the amount of dedication to get their objective complete. i actually think that it's men like that the US needs. i mean i know there isn't an american soldier who would volunteer for that but hey we could always just go fishing into our prisons and start using convicts for suicide bombers. two birds with one stone is what i say.jonmartensen wrote:And as far as Arafat and Sharon, they are both to blame for many problems over there. They are stubborn, and foolhardy. I dislike suicide bombers, though (but this could become a long rant, so I will leave it at just dislike). And Arafats condoning of such a thing leads me to dislike him much more than Sharon.
god willing, bunch of worthless bastards.Lyrs wrote:The UN is gonna die, just like the League of Nations did before.

one should never be ashamed of oneself so long as they are speaking what they truly believe. personally it's not that i don't care totally it's simply that i know it's futile so why even try. space though you do have a point to that. although i really wonder just how far we'll really get in my lifetime.Mroni wrote:WilLoW :--) wrote:Me pukes. Mr Oni
Um why should I be ashamed to say that? Why the fuck should my tax money go to helping out africa. I am far more interested in space than to worry about africa.
Mr Oni
actually every ruler really thinks he needs to please 'his' people otherwise he could have riots and even more assassination attempts. of course he's going to go home and be a different person. every body has a second face they do not show others. especially politicians. they can't afford to be the same person to everybody.Mroni wrote:Arafat dosen't want any kind of peace he has to do what pleases his people. He will tell the world one thing and the same night go home and refer to never giving up the goal for destroying isreal. You cannot reason with barbarians the best thing to do is destroy them.
Mr Oni

actually whether people like the war or not is relevant. because people's preferances and beliefs greatly effect the way they may do things in life. like the people who oppose the war and actually protest, even though i see it as ultimately pointless, they do manage to piss off a good amount of people. and for those who support it so strongly may carry that belief to make them go join the military so they can dip their hands in the blood as well. sit back and hope it turns out well? to hell with that. i hope it's the end. i feel the people who said it would end y2k still owe me for that disappointment.kthulhu wrote:Whether people like the war or not is irrelevant. More protests are going to do nothing.
Frankly, our government has gotten out of control. Soon, very soon, we need to retake it, and I don't think votes are the way to do it.
The main problem is, what would a drastic change of regime here in the US do worldwide?
Like it or not, the US is a major influence in the world.
This'll need to be pondered some more (maybe tomorrow).
i'm assuming this is multiple choice because i don't think he could have him executed and jailed for the rest of his life at the same time.Lyrs wrote:If Bush gets his hands on Saddam, he'll:
a. try him on war crimes
b. have him executed
c. jail sentence for the rest of his life

Fighting weak oponents leaves me feeling so empty inside.
