With a shotgun? If you get close enough you'd probably blow their leg off and they'd potentially die of blood loss anyhow. Except it'd be slower.

Again, With a shotgun, their fate would be death, as soon as you shoot them. Unless it's a contact shot to the balls, the pellets might not spread out enough to damage much else, but then there is still the bleeding to death part.

nah, if you get the other thugs to stop the bleeding, then you're in good shape, a good shot to the knee would be better than just killing him, even if he slowly bled to death, he'd have a better chance to live sooner the po po 5-0 got there.
