But no! It can't end! Not when everything is a dream and a comet threatens the earth where the gaia are rampaging against airships and dragons kick the shit out of knights with evil plants eating the hell out of big yellow retarded birds that are bed wetted by pink dolls! It just can't be!
Back off flesh fucker.

Actually when you put it that way........................................................no.
Madness and genius are seperated only by degrees of success.
I don't think necessity is the mother of invention - invention, in my opinion, arises directly from idleness, possibly from laziness. To save oneself trouble.

I thought the movie was absolutley terrible. The graphics were ok, but terrible compared to the hype. You could constantly se pixals ,the graphics wern't perfect, and they went above and beyond that in hype. They went as far to make it sound like it almost looked 3d, if infact it didn't. They shouldn't have gone on and on about it so much. The story was even worse. Gaia, spirits, alienes? WTF was all that about? Plus FF isn't about trying to stop a mad man that's trying to save the earth, it's about trying to stop a mad man that's trying to destroy it. Plus everyone in the movie had such a hard time accepting the spirits, in the begining FFs there was magic, espers, gods, all that type of good stuff, and these people, the councel can't believe in some spirits? and for such a crappy movie, it was way too long. I was incredibly dissapointed in this movie and would not recomend it to anyone, except for americans that arn't into anime. The americans that like sci-fi 3d animated movies like Titan A.E. Because this relates to anime, and FF in no way at all, but the crowd seemed to like it. Only two movies have had that effect on me because I'm so into the actual thing that I can tell it's crap, where everyone cheers and I think why and want them to stop before I kill some one. This movie because I'm into anime and FF series, and Blue crush because I'm into surfing and that movie was even worse. I take that back, they're equals, they're both pretty bad. And as far as the advertisment goes. Everyone is saying it barley got any? It got tons, and it was very succsesfull. My theatre was packed, everyone was cheering. We're the only ones that ddin't like it, anime buffs. The country in general seemed to accept it pretty well.

I wanted to buy the game....but I changed my mind rrriiiiiiight when I saw that. and the trailers looked good tooBalrog the Clown wrote: In the upcoming FFXI, you must: Buy the game. Pay for the online service. Pay to recieve the correct "links" to the online service. Pay additional charges for actually playing it. Pay for each character you have. And last, but not least, pay for PS2 modem if you don't already have one. The total cost comes out to approx. $150-200 along with billing.

and for the movie I thought it was ok and I thought the graphics were great (I especially liked the old guy's skin complexion, or however you spell it), but I will not recommend the movie to anyone who's not a scifi fanatic. I also thought that I wasn't fully getting the plot because I wasn't smart enough to catch the full meaning, but now since I see all these posts, it wasn't me.....it was the movie...aahhhhhh

you don't have to pay all that stuff, he's wrong. You have to buy the game, pay for A online service, and whod oesn't already have one? paying for links is bull, and as for paying for each character you have, it sounds possible but I've been reading about this game for a while and nevre come across anything like that. So what it comes down to pretty much is buying the game and a modem. I don't think you have to pay to play the game, if you do it would run along the same lines as the character thing. And if either or both of thsoe things are true, it'd be one bill. If you pay to play the game, you can have as many fucking characters as you want. If you pay per character, arn't you essentialy paying to play? I don't think you have to pay this stuff, but if it's there it's one charge, not two, and not for every character.

K lets asume its still only the modem. A lot of people, inclueding me, don't have the modem. So is the game really worth it to spend more money on?Jace Tsunami wrote:you don't have to pay all that stuff, he's wrong. ( I believe you have to hook it up to your computer right? ) Well I don't like the thought of unhooking my PS2, dragging it to the computer room, and rehooking it back up, just to play the game. Then when I'm done and want to play something else I have to do the process all over again. Oh and BTW my room and the computer room are at like opisite ends of the house so I don't think there's a cord that long. Last but not least I have to play it on my computer screen, which is much smaller than my t.v. screen.
So is FFXI(11) (for me) really worth:
A. The money
B. The effort
C. Playing on a smaller screen
That was just my opinion some people might think it is, but in my situation I think not.
If I'm misinformed about anything please tell me
