Hate To Brake It To Ya But Mario Platfrom Isn't an Rpg
Maybe by the loosest standards of rpg but...comon. And by the way, I think that Mario Rpg wasn't all that great, but does my oppinon matter? Nope.

The point I was TRYING to make is that by "loose" standards, ANY VIDEO GAME IS AN RPG! I have NEVER seen a game where you are the main character. EVER.
But then again, why would you play a game to be yourself when you could do that in real life? It might be cool, ya know, to do things you wouldn't in real life though, but that is besides the point.
The point is, there can be no "loose" standards for an rpg. There are exact definitions. For example, the reason age limits are not lessened is because, "Come on, im 17! let me smoke legally! I'm almost 18!" and then, if it was lowered, "Come on, im 16! Let me smoke legally! I'm almost 17!" and so on.
Loose standards beget looser standards.
I would vomit and cry, hell, throw in shitting and pissing, at the same time if Doom ever became considered an RPG...
That is why I don't consider Zelda to be an RPG. Cuz if I did, then I would have to throw in Sonic Adventure, Banjo-Kazooie, and then Donkey Kong Country.
