No, I believe The Critic went on for four seasons. I know it was on for at least three, because the first two were on ABC, then the third was on FOX, and that's when they introduced his girlfriend.

The old Spawn cartoons were awesome.
Unfortunately they aired at odd hours of the night.... and I was way too young for my mother to find that acceptable.
I like bugging people. Deal with it.

If you enjoyed it as a kid and haven't reflected back on it yet. Don't. You'll only ruin any appreciation you still have for the thing.

I forgot about those. You're right, they were pretty damn cool. Never read the comic book, but the cartoon put forth an intriguing look at Spawn's world.

Although the series was excellent, IMHO the comics >> series.

Daria, Futurama, and Family Guy are hilarious (especially that banned episode Adult Swim ran a few weeks back). For best animation, however, I would have to say "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm". The early animated versions of Batman (before the WB got a hold of it) were great. They went straight back to the original feel of the show. The campy '60s series is still fun to watch ("Holy syndication, Batman!"), but it doesn't get back to the vengeful roots of the 1930's comics.

"Mask of the Phantasm" is far superior to the series, because you get to see Bruce Wayne devoting everything he has into his revenge, and the continuing struggle of girlfriend over ass-kicking hobby.
