Its hard for me to get a job, cept on the weekends. I probably will just not play football anymore after this year though anyway, money is more important than something that isnt gonna do anything for me anyway --; Lucky for me we have such a high number of places i'd like to work around here so yeah, no hurry.

I'm working at blockbuster. I used to work at a ghetto blockbuster, and I mean GHETTO. I was the only non-african american (I'm not white, but still not dark enough to be considered "black") and that store was taken care of in a shitty manner. And when people stole, they just walked through, set off the alarm and bolted. The manager just made a note of it and went about on her business. So i transfered to one closer to mah house and it's much better. Apparently my boss thinks i'm some sort of wonder worker because I do my work quickly and correctly. This lil pesamistic girl said I was a "Work-a-holic" since i only took breaks when you were supposed to and didn't slack off and talk with others between working on projects.
Is it so wrong to wanna work, do a good job at it (no matter where you work be it blockbuster, computer programer, or underwear inspector) and only slack off when you're breaking? Is it really? Stupid work ethic.

OMG YOU WORKED IN COMPTON!?!? if not then dont think that its all that ghetto...cuz you havnt seen ghetto till you've seen compton. If someone wanted to steal a movie they'd walk in with a Mac10 and just go over and take it and leave....they wouldnt run...nothing. And the whole city is black...literally cept a few mexicans mixed in. so yeah, where was this ghetto blockbuster o.OMinnieMoose wrote:I'm working at blockbuster. I've been working at a grocery store for a year (it just went on strike so I'm basically doing nothing on the weekends). I've made enough money to buy my new computer which I should be ordering before this weekend, buy CDs and DVD boxsets, etc. I'm only 17, so I have no living expenses. Can't beat this life...

Norfolk, Virginia. Mostly black population. Crime pretty bad near the navel base. People would just pick up stuff and walk and if the alarm didn't go foff, they'd just walk out. We're not supposed to try and stop them. Just ask them to walk back through the thing again. If they get outside the door, oh well, we just try and figure out what they stole and make a note of it. It was ghetto mostly because of the people workign there refused to do anything that wasen't asked of them directly. The store was usually pretty freakin' dirty, whole buncha stuff you'd h ave to know from working three, like transfering stuff to prp and printing proper inserts were never done. Stuff never transfered to BSI so it just got messier and messier. I'd hate to see it now with all the new stuff that's supposed to be done nation wide here in the states.

*I guess this is sorta off topic...but uh, we're in the OFF TOPIC group, so in a way it's not too much of a stretch.* ^_^
I gained a lot of stuff, but also lost a lot of things. I can't get sick anymore and I don't react allergically to anything (not even like misquito bites, bee stings, or anything like that, it doesn't swell or itch at all).
One of the best things about it is my response time, I can actually punch so fast that when I just hit the air it makes a loud shock type noise. It has nothing to do with muscle, it's pure reaction, signal time from my brain to the muscles. I can also, in theory, move incredibly fast. But lets just say that the faster you move, the harder it is to stop. I've only tried moving at full speed once and I was wearing spiked cleets at the time. It's not perfect though, doing anything really fast burns out your energy REALLY quick. Not only that but you need to drink tons and tons of water to keep from dehydrating. I hate it when I burn out all my energy, I feel so...human. `, \
And don't even get me started on shaving. Holy freakin keeristmas, how many man pussy razors do they have nowadays? It's gotten so bad I have to shave with just hot water, against the grain. *shakes head*
Anyone else have experiences with pushing themselves beyond their humanity?
There are things other than ghosts, you can let them inside you if you like, but you won't necesarily be "you" anymore if you do. Take me for instance, what I am now is not what I used to be. I used to be quite sensative, weak and had a terrible time really understanding things that were going on around me. But then after I, uh, well let's just say merged, all that changed. I not only gained an insatiable appetite for combat, both verbal and physical, but I also inhereted a vast sense of experience. Things I've never done before I can "learn" almost instantaneously and my level of common sense is far beyond most peoples ability to reason things. Anyone whose seen my AMVs from one year ago compared to the AMVs I'm producing now knows full well just how fast I improve.SQ wrote: But then it makes me wonder if the ghost was trying to tell me something, ro what the hell happened with it just disappearing. =\
Did it want to kill me? Did it just get bored?
But, meh. That's getting off topic of the off topic stuff...
