Thanks Sarah! You've provided so much quotable material!

And thanks Lightning for your straightforwardness. I'll be sure to add this topic as well.

Oh, right, and after my dad didn't come to my graduation or even call... I was pretty hurt and basically gave up on him.

:?

Last post here. Seriously.

If you meant me, then  glad to be of use.

Perspective is a good thing. There are a lot of things I didn't really see until I went to college.

My mother is a manipulative, whiny, former frosted-flake. She has no understanding of cars, but still tells me I don't know what I'm talking about when I can ramble on and on about OBD II control modules, emissions control systems, etc. In fact, she criticizes all of my decisions, from the way I part my hair, to the way I spend my money. She does everything in her power to destroy my plans to move out of the house, or enjoy what little independence I have (I'm 20, and she still tries to rule with an iron fist). Every time I come up with a reasonable plan to attend college, or I get a job, she takes control again, and forces me to do what she wants. As long as I am unarmed, she has complete control, and there's not a fucking thing I can do about it without getting busted for manslaughter.

My father and I have been in an ongoing battle for the Alpha-Male role since I was 15. However, unlike my mother, he shows me more respect, and we follow an unspoken "code of honor" when we are engaged in conflict.

Either way, I am expecting a final, physical conflict within the next few months. This is why I intend to buy that 12 gauge pump-action. If it weren't for our limited self control, my parents and I would have dismembered each others years ago.

That's me right there, but I ended up doing science and I'm still not sure if I should be
