well in that case,
there are good qualities to democrats and republicans. who cares who's r/d? What matters is who will mkae the biggest GOOD difference.
And the media thing, who the fuck cares about the media. All the media is is entertainment anyways, it means nothing. I stopped watching T.V. a long time ago.

I recomend visiting these sites, they are wonderful satire of some of the humorus extremes people go to in an attempt to make the opposite party look evil.azulmagia wrote:Here are a coupla websites I came across while seachin' the web:

Talk about deamonizing...laughing and cheering as he read off names of gay men who had died of AIDS. A fine example of what conservatives consider good character and a role model for our children.
This points out how silly it is to think that the majority of Californian democrats won't vote. Do you really think the strong left majority would let Mr. "tied to Nazism" Arnold be elected?WHAT CALIFORNIA REPUBLICANS DID...Spent $1 million dollars to engineer a recall by a conservative California minority
At least it puts this up on the front page to let people know it is satire making fun of far-left sites (ie farther left than fox news is right)I don't think there's any question it's democracy run amok..."The relative ease of the initiative process has given those citizens and their lawmakers ample opportunity to legislate through " direct democracy...These events indicate that the Republicans have no use for the democratic process...
The purpose here is to clobber conservatives in as many avenues of creative expression possible

Hey, anyone remeber that site making fun of far right religious zealots. It was some controversial article that got linked to it and soem of us freaked out thinking it was serious instead of satire.
And azulmagia, keep up the good work on the satire sites making fun of the extremes the left goes to to demonize the right. Do you have any sites that go the other way, makes fun of the right deamonizing the left?

I just don't understand how people who would elect a govenor a year ago and who's main reason for signing the recall against him was financial....why would they elect someone based on popularity and not anyone with a strong fiscal background? No one say having money shows a strong fiscal background
And that goes for anyone on the ballot there, not just celebrities.
Someone may be nice but have no understanding on how to run a state. (cutting programs looks good...but it's important to know what those programs do)
In any case. there are 2 major things here. One is that no one is running against Davis on October 7th. If people choose not to recall him, then all tht ridiculous 80 candidate showy-ness is over.
The other issue is there is no statute (that I am aware of) that prevents Californians from issuing another recall for the candidate that should win if Davis does get recalled.
On Leno, azulmagia, Springer said that if Davis is recalled, let's say by 40 to 60%. 60% want him recalled, 40% do not. That means that at the ballot box for the recall cadidates, no matter who wins, they are almost surely going to have a lower vote in than Davis' vote out. That would make the presidential farce look fair compared to California...a small percentage of people may actually vote for Mr./Ms. Congeniality but that was the ticket to choose from and the govenor would come out of it.
No matter who wins, I don't think the people who get bussed in to vote are really going to care...they just want their 10 bucks and donuts so that looks like Cali's future.
Glad I don't live in California.

which is why its weird that people can be so strongly opinionated about the recall, when they don't, in fact, live in California.
