I didn't bother to read about 7 pages of this topic, mostly because they are the same thing.
Oh well...
I bought... Well, I didn't buy it, but recieved it as a gift on Christmas... Regardless, I have a GC, because as far as PS2 goes, it just doesn't appeal to me... As a matter of fact, I didn't like the PS very much either. (I thought the N64 sucked as well. At least I had Super Smash Brothers...
It was a dry age in gaming. WHY DID WE HAVE TO ADVANCE PAST THE SNES?!?!)
Anyway, if I were to ever get another system, I guess I'd have to get a PS2. I'm really regretting my senseless hate for the Dreamcast... I just borrowed Jet Grind Radio, and now my fingers hurt. Great game, But I'm sure as hell not buying an Xbox for the sequel.
I mean my living room literally DOESN'T HAVE THE SPACE for that thing. I'd barely be able to fit a PS2 in there! W
Oh, and ON THE TOPIC, I think that Nintendo buying Capcom would be great. I mean, everyone else is taking an aggressive stance (It seems.) to buy out companies, I guess Nintendo might as well, too.

I can't say I agree with you entirely, although the age of the Mega Drive (sorry, Genesis) and SNES were great. The PSX and N64 had some blinding games, although I think competition was a lot friendlier back then, everybody started going all 'grr' when the PSX pretty much killed most opposition and Square left Nintendo, and now it's all getting a bit too aggressive.Roke wrote:I didn't bother to read about 7 pages of this topic, mostly because they are the same thing.

Not to mention that the FANS are more aggressive...
I liked video games more when it had a small crowd.
Now that everyone plays them, and since everyone likes almost the same thing, companies aren't allowed to take risks and make games that differ too much.

Damn Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon! Damn Shenmue! Damn Eternal Darkness! Damn them all, and others like them for not trying anything new and falling into the category of "just another game."Roke wrote:Not to mention that the FANS are more aggressive...

Those are a select few. FEW.
"Animal Crossing", "Shenmue", ect's popularity only lasts for so long. (They are good games, though.)
I was complaining about things like "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City", which is STILL topping those charts. (Wowlolololol u jeas klled tat gui agan with a kaatatatanannanananan!!! LLOPLOLOLO), and "Dead or Alive 3" (ROTFL BOBBIES!!!).
...Not to mention "Final Fantasy 1337234784723573852758385395235".
My complaint is that a majority of games are very similar in most aspects.
Now, I know alot of you like these games, but I'm just not seeing too many brand new, incredible, 350 hours of gameplay, and VERY original games. Pokemon was like that in many respects, but they just took it too damn far... Now it's just... Well... Always the same.
Now, I may just be seen as a whiner to you, but I want an original game that doesn't involve guns.
This is just through my experiences, though.
It's too bad I was spoiled to things like the SNES and Genesis.
I've been trying to make this message in a way to where people wouldn't flame me, but it's too damn hard to post opinions without someone finding something wrong with them. You know?

). Yadda yadda yadda etc.

It can be. Also, this feature may be handy for those without batteries or an AC adapter (I have rechargeables, so I'm safe.
