all you tryed to say to me right there about believing is that I'm close minded, and because of that I have no good reason not to believe.

You're blind and really dumb if you think there's no good reason to believe. Like I said I grew up 100% in a world of science and medicine, and most importantly, FACTS. I DO NOT believe in god, and if I ever questioned this thought of mine and wanted to learn more about him, there's not one shred of evidence, proof, or fact any believer can give me about god to prove he exists. If there's no evidence, there's no good reason to look into it. there's the reason WHY NOT to believe in god. By leaving NO shred at all, god has only proved he doesn't exist. no proof is proof itself that something isn't there.

About the santa and jesus thing, it's still the same thing, though I guess your right I put it in a pretty shamefull maner there.

Santa taught children to behave and they'd be rewarded, Jesus did the same, but I'll go into detail here how they differed.

Santa taught kids to respect their parents, do what they're told, stay in school, ect. In return, they'd wake up to a gloryious christmas morning with their parents and get toys and good food and all that stuff.

Jesus taught people how to truly love each other (as you mentioned), and from this he spoke of how if you truly love each other, and you continue doing so as you lead a full and happy life, you'll be rewarded by the love you receive back, and staying with your family by gods side sharing his love after death. He taught that the love was a continuous thing, that if you love each other now, you cans till do ti when you die, and the reawrd was love in return.

Now gee, where do you go with your family after death when you've all been good and loving, where you can share gods love and stand by his side??? Maybe a little place christians call Heaven.

So yeah, i said it INCREDIBLY poorly, and as I believer I apologize to you, especialy if I offended you. but it's still the same message as before. Cuz what happens if you dont love each other? You become over whelmed with hate greed, all that bad stuff, and then where do you go? Not heaven, not that place of eternal love.

Same message from both people, you do good, you get good.

You don't believe in it, thats fine, but don't claim you have all the answers, either.

I didn't claim to have all of the answers, that's the point, I'm happy believing what I'm believing but if you(not you specifiaclly) weren't confident in your resolution about you're oppinion then you wouldn't have one.

Jace I can't believe....................you. How can you say that looking into research for God is a waste of time(I realise that this isn't an exact quote, I'm paraphrasing). Don't tell me that you accept not knowing where you came from and not knowing why we of all things are centient? No one could be happy living like that, it would be like being a vegetable. You take cynisizm to new heights and you are the most defensive person I have ever came into contact with and if you think you're not in person, you sure come off like that here.

Heheh, I love this argument too, because it was in the movie Contact, and I stand firmly in this concept:

if you look into god you won't find anyhting that proves he exists, you'll ony find information on diffrent peoples beliefs. Nothing you find looking into him will prove he exists.

You're right, it's tough not knowing anything at all, but I believe there are answers, and we just don't know them. I really feel that one day modern man through science will figure them out.

And hey, we all know the government hides stuff, so maybe thy already have. Maybe they just havn't told people because not only christians, but the entire world other than non believers such as myself would be thrown in an uproar.

^ I know that last bit on the answers being found is really far fetched and stupid, I was just saying it's possible...
