Sorry, incorrect quotes are one of my pet peeves. "No more rhymes now, I mean it!" Anyway yeah, DDRMax is good but I do miss some of the older songs. Can you do End of the Century on the hardest difficulty? I play it on 3rd mix and it's so frustrating but so fun. Ugh, don't even get me started on dynamite rave. ~_^

I can do End of the Century on Maniac, if that is what you are asking. I more-so enjoy playing it on Standard though. Dynamite Rave isn't one of my favorite songs, but it can be fun on Standard. I have yet to pass it on Maniac, though. Sorry about the misquote. When I joined this site I rushed my profile and the such, but no excuses. My favorite song to play on Maniac is .59. If you haven't tried it yet, you should!

LoL, I remember how happy I was when I first passed Butterfly upswing on SSR (hard mode on the jap 3rd mix). My fav on that mix is Dam Dariram on SSR though, great song and the steps are right in time with the music. Doesn't get any better than that. ^_^

I have yet to buy DDRMAX, but as far as I can tell it doesn't look as great as it should be.

Alongside Trinity Talim I'm also available for some chat anytime on AIM.

I can fluke a 10-foot song on 7th Mix (DDRMAX2) (up to 5th mix there are only up to 9-foot songs or "catas" as the slang goes.

Old songs are good, but sometimes ya just have to open up to new songs. Looked at the song list for DDRMAX (PS2 US) and I'm definitely saddened. They have some songs that were on previous releases that suck, and still suck. What were they thinking??? Holic...tch....

Personally I'm more of the trick (not difficulty - trick as in doing moves like knee plants or Matrix Walks) kind of person rather than an all-out moving-feet-at-100-mph person.

Heh, oops, pressed submit too soon.....

You should see people in California, brolli411. It's like a way of life for some people. Not knowing DDR is like not knowing Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter.

Of course people in Los Angeles are health and exercise freaks, so this is stirring up a lot of excitment to the younger crowd.....and even the older crowd as well. Hehe, but of course they struggle on 1-2 feet songs.

For those interested, there is a machine locator at DDR Freak.com so you can see where a machine in your area is located. Heh, and if you live in California, you're blessed since there's like over 300 machines in the state alone.

Bye fellow Bemani fans.... ^_^

What are all of your favorite songs on DDRMAX, if you don't mind me asking. I personally enjoy Dark Black Forest (Short Trip) and/or My Generation. I have an odd taste though, so I'm sure your choices will vary significantly. I was curious as to if anyone has played DDR in Australia, because my friend is visiting there currently and said that they have a nightclub with a 6th and 5th mix machine(s) hooked up to a very... let's say.... BIG screen. How was it, if anyone was lucky enough to have this experience?

Hey, I liked Holic! I dunno, I wasn't all that impressed with the ddr max tracklist either till I bought it. While I don't like some of the songs (Divas songs come to mind...) I do like the shift towards more techno-y songs and I'm a big fan of songs like holic and the cube that have weird beats to make them challenging.

Well I actually bought it now and it's not as bad as many say.
I was skeptical but it still has that DDR charm to it.

It's rather strange though to see a 5th Mix and MAX hybrid system.

Oh, and my favorite song is BreAk Down by Be 4 U from DDRMAX2.
