I use the Windows Media player right now. I used to be a Real One Player fan, but I was having trouble with .AVI vids, so I just changed. I use the new 9 series, and I'm so glad too. I never really liked the old one, but the new one rocks.

My skin is one of the default ones, "Corporate". I definitely prefer this one, since it's so compact and focusses on the visual. Plus it's nice and simple. Others that prefer the look and have teh folder options and other stuff just take up too much room. I can't afford that, since I'm always doing something else. ^_^
SASAMI2k!! The name roks, it don't got borders, plays just about everything under the sun (even VOBs... if they're DeCSSed) but rms, fits 1280x720... and it's COOL!!

and I use an epidermis daily -_- I don't use no skeens on my Sasami2k

I find skins to be very annoying, they like to put the open button in the upper right, the play is down in the middle, the stop doesn't look like a stop, it's in the shape of a frog or something. Then it's all orangey or yellow.Skins also take up desktop space, desktop space that could be used for other things ;p. The other idea behind a skin is to change it up every once in awhile. It doesn't do you much good to learn where shit is in one skin, then flip it around again and re-learn where it's at.

Most players out there just use DirectShow, none of them really improve apon it. DirectShow is a MS entity and it's up to M$ to officially update it. So the only thing a player could do would be to add some custom DS filters in and make them "easier" to add. I for one never use any filters that would require me to enable them per video. VobSub is pretty much it along with FFDShow... :\

I use MS Media Player 6.4 as well as DSCALER for watching TV on my computer. Anothing other then that has just a crappy skin over it that doesn't add any functionality.

Best Skin Ever

You can switch the timeline on/off by pressing the space bar. Great prog.

And that's the most useful option :

I don't understand why some of these skins are made. Sure people like stuff they can relate to, but let's say a skin is divided into 3 parts. The playlist, the window and the player. I definitely find this to be a total waste of space. :( That's why i like mine, it's nice and compact. Nothing really special. Except after a little update, the letters are now blue. Crazy! :D

I mostly use WMP7 and the Roundlet skin. I use WMP 6.4 when I'm reviewing vids and 7 for when I just want the AMV playlist to run in the background.

oh yeah, S2k can't do time for sith so if I wanna make an exact review than I use WMP (whichever one I got...) But I don't do dat as ppl don't redo their vids so whats the use? I just tell them how it makes me 'feel' and expect them to apply that to their next vid. what's the use of giving times anyway?? (btw my review aren't normally more than 50 words...)

This is a 5 in 1 shot here. Video Player/Audio player/Current background/favorite music/favorite vids.

I use either Windows Media Player 8 (XP Version) in the default skin, Windows Media Player 6.4 Classic in default skin, or BSPlayer in default skin, haha.
