dreamcast....it could have been sooo big but:
it realeased at an awkward time
most of the games were just ports from psx
the truly great games did not get enough hype
DC generally didnt get enough hype
that and ive been playing sonic on my genisis since i was a youngun and SEGA was and still is my favorite game co.

woo! a loyal sega fan... I agree wholeheartedly with Lo_Jinn... the ps2 may have good games now but many titles were taken from dreamcast... By Far it was the most original system since before the SNES... Seaman, Jet Grind Radio(that's right it was with us first), Crazy Taxi, Soul Caliber, Shenmue!!, Skies of Arcadia, Samba de Amigo for crying out loud!!! what other system lets you weild colorful maracas and try to keep tempo with a monkey in a sarape... I'm a DC fan and it saddened me a great deal to see that no one realized how great it was because no one gave it a chance...
But then I some of the same things happening on xbox... not to the same degree but there are people who won't give it a chance because it's an "imposter" or some people have even said that it's too much like a computer.... xbox has the most potential the only problem is that Japan hates it and the UK isn't that happy about it either... if more third parties started developing for it, it would gain alot more weight (no pun intended) among the gaming community but as it stands FF looks like it'll never see an xbox console and GTA is MIA until... 2005? I wanna say... I believe xbox is in it for the long haul and Microsoft is the only company that can withstand all the crap that their console will have to wade through to get to the island in the sun... I hear Mario is there... with a hose-like water squirty thing....

I'm not l33t...
But, I enjoy the games I have on it. Working on Final Fantasy Tactics again, and I still need to finish Chrono Trigger, and I haven't even begun Final Fantasy 4.
I want a PS2 at some point, but primarily for two games. MGS2 and FF10 (probably 11 as well by the time I get one).
I tend to spend my money on anime DVDs more than video games lately.

Personally I would prefer it if Games were only for PC's but the only problem is games have to be dumbed down for PC's. Meaning they have to design games for systems that are not top of the line, while with console games they can push the limits.
I like the game cube, I have really enjoyed Tricky and SSB Melee. I'd say teh system is better than a PS2 but PS2 definently has a better offering for games. And XBOX is way cool for the online play, I have to give it a thumbs up for that.
My #1 choice for systems is game cube and would be Xbox if you didn't have extra fee's for online gaming.

and #3 is XBOX (since it doesn't have free online gaming)
