Are you the kind of person who hate it most when people post in a thread when it's been absent of any recent posts?

In an academic sense, I concur that repeated threads are pointless and are annoying.
Repeating a thread implies that the subject has been discussed adequately and practically broadcasts "crossposter", "spam", and worse, "forum troll".
In the other sense of revising a thread, necroposting allows for older messages to be preserved, bypassing the need for restating cocepts while serving it's intent - returning and revieweing a post.

If revieweing a post will not be productive, I am usually against both (the last being worst, unless there is a good reason). But if the reposting serves the purpose of exposing new ideas, possibly due to new information, I am all for it.

Yeah i agree that those people who are tooo lazy to look for threads that they want to write in, instead they make their own ... they annoy me ... i say dont be lazy ... ... I dont really mind that much if people post on a thread that is a bit old, just as long as they say something good.

Repeat threads arent all that bad.. You read..

Hottest ANime Girl (insert different text to make it look slightly different)

you say, 'well, I've answered that question about 6 times this last week'and ignore said thread.

Necropost on the other hand you can ignore too, but if its an interesting thread you might want to join in conversation all the interesting comments people made they have long forgotton therefore adding anything to it would be pointless and by chance they haven't and relook it up only to find someone said, Yeh, she's hot....
Well.. pointless.

Not nearly as annoying as threads that go on for pages and pages, comprised of little more than the same posts/arguments rephrased each time... by the same people no less.
