You could consider the use of technology in hospitals (ie saves lives, conducts surgery never thought possible etc) As well as security systems, and those kinds of things...

Because if nailz, or anyone else for that matter, tells you reason why technology is beneficial, and you don't properly cite or acknowledge their contribution to your essay, you are falsley presenting the essay and its ideas as yours alone. This is called plagiarism. Ask your instructor about that.

Or you could tell your Prof. that you decided to ask around and see what people viewed as the benefits of technology. Tell him/her that you are but a humble student who knows little of the world and would rather gain wisdom from others than sit on the proverbial "rock" and think. You are an aspiring Social Scientist and therefor are interested in people and cultures and the Dao of man(+woman if they are a she)kind.
