My local news showed some of it. I disliked the bias at the beginning of the show, describing "violence caught on tape".

Umm, they were shooting trees and bowling pins in the video. I don't exactly consider some dumbass teens shooting stuff "violent". If admiring explosive stuff is violent, then we're all guilt of violence on the Fourth Of July when the fireworks go off  .

So they went on to shoot people later. At the time the video was shot (SIX weeks before the event), they hadn't hurt anybody.

He who knows the future controls the past, or something, but that's hardly objective or fair journalism.

As for the video itself, meh. Nothing major. Just like Columbine itself wasn't that big - there had been plenty of violence in other, less well off schools, but when it blew up big time in a "nice" area, well heck, IT'S SO AWFUL!

Fuck that. If the parents, if ANYONE, had been on the ball, the whole incident could have been avoided, but I guess the parents of Mr. Harris and Mr. Klebold were too busy keeping up with the Joneses (which includes having a trophy kid for the image, not for the love) to really try and rein in their children.

I feel sympathy for those who were killed, those who were hurt, but I don't feel upset about the whole incident itself.

I'm just waiting for UncleMilo to pop in and chastise me, then go on some anti-gun rant.

All I can say is, they probably got their explosives instructions from the internet, and listened to a lot of KMFDM - should both of those be on trial, too?
