Evil Dead I and II were supposed to be actual horror flicks, but since they were so absolutely horrible, and no one took them seriously, Army of Darkness was made as a Slasher turned Comedy, which was meant to be so absolutely horrible, it was funny.

And thus, it became a cult classic, as people ate it up. EVERYONE has seen this movie, and people worship it. Best example is Rocky Horror Picture. If you ever go to a screening of this movie, the term Cult Classic will just automatically make sence to you.

Moving vehicles near me and Rocky Horror Picture show fanatics. Those are my ownly 2 fears.

You also can't forget the Mad Max or Highlander movies/tv series. In Australia, Mad Max is still as big today as it was in '79. Everything related to musclecars, pop-culture, or the Australian Ford Motor Company is instantly tied in with insane fans of Mad Max. Check out http://www.madmaxmovies.com for a true example of a cult following. In fact, Mad Max's cult status is also found in Japan.
