Paint can be effective. I made a kick-ass desktop using 4 different Eva pictures and then, cropping, resizing and pasting.

Had a picture of each Eva in a battle stance (Unit-00 on the right third, above center. Unit 02, left above center. And Unit 01 middle, lower center.) with the scene from the intro (where Unit 01 is spreading it's wings) above unit 01. Also had the Title logo in the lower right coner and was looking for a NERV logo. I *might* still have it somewhere, but as far as I know, it's lost. Only took me a week to do too. (at about a couple hours a day.)

I also used Paint to resize a couple of pictures from Kenshin to use as my character Image in Baulder's Gate 2

I know it's a term used in the Hindu religion...but I'm not sure exactly what it means. I'll have to hunt for it, though. Good question!

If you want a program to resize something and you are on a TIGHT budget then download Irfan View. It's Free plus it doesn't make your picture all grainy. And just in case you were wondering there is no spyware or add-ware

i took the backgroun dof a RK pic and that used PSP to alter the background

I like using MS Paint but I find Paintshop Pro 6.0 to better fit my needs

im thinking of doing one of these

if you are wondering what that is
I took a manga scan and I colored the entire picture by hand.
