Musical question

Post by Lone Wolf » Tue Oct 21, 2003 10:54 pm

This isn't relevant to the 'General Music' section, so I put it here. Ok...Here we go:

Me and 3 of my friends are going to have a jam session over at one of their houses. I wanted to have a steady beat to keep us goin' smoothly. Is there a computer program that can act as a beat maker and I can change the tempo and stuff? (Think of those lil' things on top of pianos with the stick that goes back and forth and ticks...whatever they're called.)

Get an electronic metronome (that's the piano thing you're talking about). Don't bother with Frooty Loops, an electronic metronome is great and doesn't cost too much.

Also, Google gave me this, which contains several metronome programs (many of which I believe you can download).

It locks you into 4/4 time though, which sucks.

Well, I suppose you can do cut time with it, but you're still fairly limited in that respect.
