DOn't worry about the technobabble.

If anything, it's a good excercise to counteract the usual banalities found here.
I like bugging people. Deal with it.

Elaborate.
the human mind has a natural ability to parse images into motion vectors, then correct parities and compare them against movements detected in the organ behind your ear... indeed, dizziness is often caused by stressing the muscles of your eyes when trying to focus on a dynamic object.

Don't worry if you don't understand what parities are. Remove the buzzwords and you'll see the key word: correct. If you see a bunch of straight lines and one crooked one, your mind wil assume you have a vision problem and automatically transform the images to that the line appears to be normal, without bothering the rest of the data. That's right, your brain actually makes it up for you.

The spinning illusion stops as soon as you make sure to line each line up and provide a reference to focus on. Such as modifying the geometry of the radial shapres into expanded rectangles, or adding a grid.
So you're referring to the episode where Hannya's striped outfit gives the illusion of his arms being shorter than they actually are?

Yes.

Although if the fight had occured in my office, it probably wouldn't have worked so well: one of my walls, turned into a magnetic dry erase, has blue and black grid lines.

Hold on.. I'm doing an experiment to see if my mind will try to correct an angular parsong error...
