No I'm not a goth. I was explaining the stereotypes that people commonly place satanists with. No I'm an atheist but I would rather be a polytheist more than anything else.

Its funny how people always turn to the "founder of recognition" when it comes to religions. Satanists had been around for what.. 1200 years. Hell, even MORE. I don't care what you think, there is that path of obscurity that people just seem to step over. But then, that is the whole point isn't it? So don't give me bullshit about, "Oh, Anton Lavey is the founder of satanism!" the dude only made it recognised to his own ways.

As for true satanists. If I was a satanist (meaning I practiced it) I wouldn't be following him just to become recognised as a true satanist. And I most certainly wouldn't be having this conversation with you all.

So the moral? Yeah yeah, believe what you want. Take that single road of simplicity in life like everyone else. I'm not going to bother anymore. Ciao.

Well yeah, I mean if you're gonna go by founders, just look at christianity for a great example. Two religions were competing for head of the Roman Empire, Mithraism - a sun and moon worship cult, and Christianity, a messianic cult spinoff of Chaldeo-Judaism. The good ol Roman pantheon was getting old and tired, so Constantine decided to fight one battle in the name of Mithras and another in the name of the God of the Christians, and whichever god he was representing when he won would become the new religion.
Thus, the relatively small cult originally started by John the Baptist became the prevalent religion for years to come. For stupid reasons.

As for polytheism vs monotheism, pfft, I'd rather not be a theist at all. When God(s) is created in man's image (read: anthropomorphism), it's safe to say all meaning in the philosophy has been lost.

Finally, as a side note, Satan, Hell, and the apocalyptic good vs evil scattered throughout messianic Judaism (Christian inclusive) is far from a jewish concept, it was adopted during the Babylonian captivity when the Jews merged with Zoroastrianism and the two basically became indistinguishable. Just to clear up any misconceptions about the nature of Satan, who never was JHVH's evil opposite or disobedient angel and what have you.

Frankly, if the game was bad, it wouldn't have survived ten years at the top of the market and have an estimated six million players worldwide =/
