[Cosplay] Sneaky way to make patches and designs!

Post by danielwang » Wed Sep 10, 2003 8:50 pm

I'd like to share with the members of The Forum an interesting cosplay method I've gained. Ok, it's for "advanced cheaters", but it works.

Anything fits in an inkjet printer.
Including cloth.

Want to make a nifty patch, tape the cloth onto tagboard and use an older inkjet printer. Newer ones will print too lightly (ink conservation) and may jam (automatic document feeder). Recommended HP or Epscum.

Use adhesive transfer tape to add the designs.

HOW EXCEPTIONALLY SNEAKY!

Absolutively Mind-Boggling
I like bugging people. Deal with it.

I see your humour in that.

In related methods, I've gotten a more reliable way to do complay temporary body markings. Instead of using stencils and marker to add them, you can print "temporary tattoos" from your inkjet printer using the tack in skin glue... sold in sheets, youca n add them directly.

Last time, I just went to the local grocery retailer and purchased temporary tattoo designs from the vendbox, then cut them into apporpriate shapes.

Oh, and if you're printing large-format, such as headbands, make sure to either fold or overlap on bottom only.
