Whips out the old Commodore Vic 20...
My grandparents dropped the computer over here a bit ago, and I decided to get it up and running. They even game me the few decade old tv that the Vic 20 was hooked up to!
To think, this is the system I always played when I visited them about 10 years ago...
Most addicting game ever, Omega Race!!! I was reading the intro, and I think it takes place in the year 2003. o_0
It even still has the joystick! ^_^

Ah yes, the Vic-20. Me and klinky still have one in the closet at our mom's house that we bought at a thrift store a few years back.
Quite the spunky little machine. 3.5 kilobytes of (free) RAM! Blazing 1 Mhz 6502 processor! And for that awesome internet experience, a blazing 300 bps modem, with no network protocols or web browser available for it!
Still, at about $100 in the 80s, it was certainly a pretty good value, especially when "full fledged" machines like the IBM PC and Apple II were several thousand dollars and didn't really offer much more than the Vic.

i never had a vic-20, but i did have a commodore 64, that was a cool system. I wasn't able to get any thihg but games to work on it ... but who cares. I had defenders, jump man and mission impossible. i can't remember having any other games that worked that were worth mentioning. But jump man was great, i wasted a good deal of time sitting in front of that box, so many weird games ... including this one druid game that for some reason R-A-N-M-A's avatar reminds me an awful lot of the main character from that game ...
