What would this be used for?

I was talking at a party with a girl I went to school with and she was telling me about her job, she measures kids feet for ballet shoes and leotards.
Then she told me the story about how once a 50 year old man came in with a lycra tight peacock blue bodysuit and said that he had slept in it last night and it had ripped. The really weird part was that it had no holes in the entire thing except for a zip up the back, so the face was completely covered along with everything else.
We were all stumped as to what he could have done with this, it couldn't have been sexual related because there were no holes anywhere.
Has anyone ever heard of this kind opf suit and what its purpose might be.
