I will not partake in any form of this rather one sided debate, seeing as Mask of Destiny is not in this at all, nor are many others. I will say this though: It's so easy to watch these debates go from starting off terrific to instantly converting to skeptics dissing and flaming religions at where it's not a fair argument, how can it be a fair argument when there is nothing for one side to go on? Unless you are willing to subject all that you believe in to others to understand and read, you are pretty much being a prick. People don't rag on agnostics or atheists because others understand that people make their own choices, and they have the right to do so. You've made your own religion, good for you. Are you willing to make it publicly accessable so others can give you the same treatment? There should be enough examples of unfair slander that you should respect others religions/ views on life. I know that it's not that bad right now, (although to firm believers in the Bible I'm sure it's quite a bother already) all I'm saying is there's not much of an arguement here, all we can do is smile and nod our heads while you go on and on. It would be more practical to debate something like the evolutionary theory, where I can guarantee you there is a crapload of evidence on both sides. From there it would actually go somewhere. Just ideas and a little insight people, this is directed at nobody in particular, I would just like to see less flaming and more open minded people. I applaud some though, your beliefs are respected highly by me. Let's just keep it civil.

I know you werent directing that at anyone in perticular, but I just want to clear up that the stuff I posted wasn't based on beliefs or religion at all, merely facts debating the validity of certain points which were brought up. Like debating scientific facts only more interesting and controversial :}

I will defend my position. I just haven't had the time as of yet and each moment I wait I seem to have more to reply to; I had forgotten just how busy this forum is.
I will however answer this now:

It was not my original intention to start a religous debate; I merely stated what my expectations in life were.not another religion debate, what happenned to the debate about vegetarianism, you did this Destiny, for shame. I am not a fan of organised religion either and yeahy Banana, I like it.

My friends don't care, they probably think I am going through some sort of phase, which I probably am, its the colleagues that get me.tacooe wrote:I was only kidding, although I can't comprehend it, I understand that doing these things makes you happy, you seem like a very benign, soft mannered kind of guy, who doesn't have the energy to get angry. I know how you feel when people you have to see regularly think you're weird but you don't seem to mind very much. It's a pity that you're friends don't really understand but sure you'll be leaving them in a few months anyway and going to the land of weirdos(no offence but what you're doing is strange)
please eat something though, anything, soya, tofu, a potato, you're making me worry.
I haven't eaten for 36 hours and I want to push it to the 72 mark, but I'd be happy with 48. I only have to hold out the night for that little baby.

True Story...
I once fasted for around 72 hours straight (okay, so I drank a bit of water), but I did that when I was little, between 4 - 6 years old. See I was a terribly finicky eater, and eating (curiously enough, from an evolutionary standpoint), well... annoyed me. I'd just keep playing untill my mother forced me to eat something.
So she consulted a doctor, and he suggested that she should just leave me be, until I decided I wanted to eat something. And so, the "contest" started. 72 hours later, my mother cracked and forced me to eat again.
Poor woman... and to think I'd be unable to stay 48 hours without food today....

I'm finding the hunger isn't getting to me much yet, but when I smell stuff then it gets out of control, especially meat as I wont even be able to eat anything nice once I'm done. But I just think to myself how good that first samosa is going to be. Mmmmmmmmmmm samosa.
