Obata-sensei fucking OWNZ.

I had an introductory shinkendo course in college where he attended the final couple of sessions, and concluded with a demonstration using real swords.

Seeing him cut through bamboo like butter and effortlessly cutting sheets of newspaper in two as someone held them up still remains clear in my mind.

Yeah, it's easy to say that, but I swear the sword went through it with no resistance or drag. That katana was razor sharp. Any other knife or sword would rip the paper if you tried to cut it in that fashion.

oh yes I really wish I too could partake of their cardboard shells and obvious.................oh god it's just too bad, please promise me that you will never do that
