No one wants to go out of their way to get a video unless it's rumored to be just orgasmicly delicious.

So, then installing YahooIM(which not alot of people have) and then msging you or going to your share or whatever you have there, just so they can slowly download your video :\ and with no actual reassurance of it being any good. I am too lazy and I don't like YahooIM.

Doesn't AIM have a filesharing portion ?

AIM is much more popular.

Even still, you're probably not going to get your video out to many people unless you actually setup a server or pay for hosting.

BAH! put it anywhere you can.
Title it with

It's title - The Anime used - The song used

Serve it up to anyone that asks via yahoo or AIM, try to get people do DL it on Kazaa, Direct Connect, and any other file sharing program.

Yeah, but alot of AMV creators want to get their stuff out so people will give them feedback. People on P2P networks are much less likely to give feedback.

>_>, alot of people would like to be famous! Famous...

Not me though

Anyways, the most I've really gotten as in the form of feedback off a P2P network is some guy saying my MP3 files were all screwed up :? Since he some how couldn't burn them to disc. I burnt 16 to disc while he was talking to me and I was like >_> They're fine asshole, go buy the discs if you want it on a disc so bad.

Which actually has nothing to do with AMVs :? .

I did host my first AMV on Kazaa for about three or four days and I think maybe 7 people downloaded it. Of course that could exponentially grow, but I saw my vid in the search results maybe once. :?

I had much more success after I setup my home brewed AMV server and a couple thousand people sucessfully downloaded my videos and a few even left feedback.

It's not bad amongst friends but as your primary form of distribution it's a pain in the ass, kaaza as well. It's too much trouble to track someone down on IM to get a video, all people want to do is click and go.

also a lot of time the file sharing does not work right. With AIM I have trouble sharing files bacause there is a firewall sever said that block it but I can use kazaa just fine
