Well OK it's been a while but I'll try it. I'm getting really desperate for reliable downloads.
Which channels whould you guys recommend for getting anime?
And can you please list some information or gimme a link to their website if they have one?
And one more thing:
Is there any way you can like search an entire server (such as EntertheGame) for a user with a specific file? Or if that's not possible then an entire channel?

Umm, I don't know about searching for a particular file.
New fansubs are usually placed in the topics of the group channels so you could probably search for those using the keyword search on the toolbar.
I suggest you go to Aniverse instead of ETG for fansubs since they aren't as strict on that server.

Well....while I'm on the subject, is there any alternative to getting fansubs other than KaZaA or mIRC??
List everything you can think of - P2Ps, specific servers, FTPs, websites - I'm getting all the more desperate here.

Have you tried direct connect? 
I don't use it myself, but it supposedly pretty good since many of the fansubbing groups leak out their stuff onto the hubs once it's released.
Still though, IRC is still your best bet for getting fansubs. You just have to get back into it and start making connections with people.
