Ehhhh....yes and no. Most of the "grow a new organ" techniques are looking at it through cultures of stem cells for seeding of resorbable constructs. My lab is actually working in the vascular grafts field (not me, my work is a bit messier) and the cartilage constructs. Theoretically, stem cells should provide for everything needed in the "grow a new organ" field without needing to introduce the "human cloning for spare parts" sci-fi horror tale.
Als Gregor Samsa eines Morgens aus unruhigen Träumen erwachte, fand er sich in seinem Bett zu einem ungeheueren Ungeziefer verwandelt.

I'm reminded of this song:
CLONE OF MY OWN (to Home on the Range)
Oh, give me a clone
Of my own flesh and bone
With the Y chromosome changed to X.
And when she is grown,
My very own clone,
We'll be of the opposite sex.
Chorus:
Clone, clone of my own,
With the Y chromosome changed to X.
And when we're alone,
Since her mind is my own,
She'll be thinking of nothing but sex.

Well now. No pictures of babies...they say they want to remain anonymous yet announce it in the first place. And no proof so far, and they think they won't be giving any in the future.A UFO cult said on Saturday the world's second cloned baby had been born to a Dutch lesbian.
Aliens who created humans and then departed for their own planet have been monitoring mankind's progress, Overvliet said.
Independent experts had been scheduled to take samples of DNA from the girl and her mother on Tuesday.
But that did not happen and Ms Boisselier says the baby's parents are now unsure if it should be carried out at all.
They refuse to even let testing take place and they just announced their book about cloning, available to buy at a freakish book store near you.

I think this is all the info I need
